The most common and traditional Japanese fashion costume is the Kimono; still worn today in more modern designs, it was also adopted in the West due to its elegance and sensuality. Along the years, Japanese fashion saw few changes but all the while the Kimono was a dominant and part of the classic collection and always a part of their lives in different forms. The Furisode is another type of Kimono worn by young girls in their twenties; in Japan twenty is the legal age to drink and smoke and in order to celebrate it parents often offer their daughters a Furisode.
Then the Houmongi takes over, which is another type of Kimono that is worn by married women and yet again the parents will present their daughter with one when she is married. The formal Kimono is called Tomesode, which is usually worn my married women to functions such as marriages; Mofuku is the funeral Kimono in the Japanese fashion and Uchikake is the wedding Kimono.
Last but not least Obi is the oldest form of the Japanese fashion as they are not being made anymore today and rarely will you catch someone wearing one these days even in Japan.
The modern Japanese fashion have several categories as well some of which are not clothes related: the Kogal Japanese fashion is translated in Japan to those who like to display their high income by wearing expensive clothes and jewelry. The Gangaro Japanese fashion is directed to those who started changing their hair color and then there is the Lolita and the Gothic Lolita Japanese fashion, which is being represented by the sweet and innocently dressed (Lolita) to the other extreme of what is known to us as punk fashion, which is known as the Gothic Lolitas.
The Eternal Fashion
Classic fashion is eternal everywhere in the world and Japanese fashion has their Kimonos to prove it. Colors also play a big role in Japanese fashion and culture as it is directly related to the event. Fashion does not only define a time and era but also the personality and character of the one wearing it.

Sari is one of the oldest costume in Indian fashion, it is formed out of one piece of cloth measuring approximately five and half meters long and can be made from a variety of materials from pure silk to pure cotton.

The other Indian fashion piece that has been adopted around the world especially over the last few decades is the Punjabi suit, which is basically made out of a loose fitted pant with a very long dress like blouse over it that bears slits from both sides to allow easy walking. Girls and women alike find these clothes, also known as shalwar qameez very comfortable.

Indian fashion today has changed a great deal by adopting features from around the world. However, they have always ensured to complete a style with a traditional touch such as, an Indian scarf, bangles or the traditional tikka or bindi (the dot that is placed on the forehead between the eyebrows usually in different types of colors to match the clothes).
Around the world, Indian fashion is enjoyed by women and girls who can also add to their style and personality by integrating an Indian blouse, scarf or other accessories. Indian fashion, with its vivid colors and rich textures has a special mystique to it and it brings out romance in whoever wears it.
Keeping Up with Trends in Girls Fashion
March 18th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedFashion is one of the most important things to girls, especially if you are in your teens and in college where everyone wears and talks about latest trends and styles everyday. Here are a few tips and suggestions on girl’s fashion, which may helps you keep up with the fashion trend year round.
Most designers will take out at least two collections a year, spring and fall while some will take out four, spring, summer, fall and winter. With many different style and designs for girls, boys, women and men and you will find that firstly it is very hard to keep up with every seasonal tread for one main reason; all styles do not suit everyone.
How many times did you look at a fashion show and thought to yourself: who can wear that dress besides the model? The fact is that some of those styles are made for modeling purposes only and the whole collection is slightly different than what you see on the runway. However, the first and most important girl’s fashion rule is to wear clothes that suit your height, weight, personality and character.
How to Always Dress Fashionably
Classic fashion is always in style and anytime you don’t want to make a mistake when dressing up for an event, you can count on classic clothes. However, girls don’t always want to wear classic clothes so, how can they always be in fashion? A simple way to make girls fashion work for you is to choose from a collection that suits you best. For example, if a particular color suits your skin tone best, you can get a blouse and wear it with jeans or black pants, which don’t have to be from the same collection.
Accessories are another way to keep with the latest girls fashion without even wearing any clothes from the latest trends. It is important you know the good and bad points about your own body in order to work with it and enhance your best features. None of us are perfect, not even the gorgeous models you see on the runway, as they all have flaws that are carefully covered with make up and/or the clothes they are wearing on the runway.
Therefore, make the fashion work for you with what fits and suits you best even if it is some accessories such as a belt, scarf, hair clips or shoes. Shoes are yet another whole chapter in girls fashion and they work on the same principles of clothes and accessories. Don’t acquire a pair of shoes just because they are in fashion but because they suit and complement your style and personality.
